Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to perform grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying and litter picking in Maidstone. The role involves operating hand tools and machinery with a focus on safety and efficiency, and delivering winter services such as gritting and snow clearance.

Flexible outdoor work environment with training; a UK driving license is preferred for vehicle roles. Part-time, 40 hours per week, based in Maidstone, ME14 1QN.

Qualifications

• Good smartphone literacy is preferred.
• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
• PAI spraying license is a plus.
• PA6 spraying license is a plus.
• Full UK driving license is preferred for vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively
• Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required
