Job summary

idverde is seeking Grounds Maintenance Operatives for Kendal on a seasonal contract. You will perform grass cutting with ride-on and pedestrian mowers, edging, pruning, weeding and general horticultural tasks to maintain local grounds for the client.

This role offers an opportunity to develop practical skills within a supportive team and a varied outdoor environment across the Kendal area.

Qualifications

• Previous Grounds Maintenance experience is desirable.
• A full valid UK manual driving licence is essential.
• PA1 and PA6 licenses are desirable.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.

Responsibilities

• Grass cutting using ride-on and pedestrian mowers; edging and trimming.
• Weeding, pruning, shrub and border maintenance, and litter picking.
• General horticultural duties and site upkeep across Kendal.
• Work outdoors in all weather in a collaborative team environment.

Contract Dates: Seasonal until 16th October (weather conditions dependant).
Working hours: Monday - Thursday 07:30-16:30, Friday 07:30-12:30

About the role

We currently require multiple Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our team in Kendal to work on our Westmorland and Furness contract. You will keep several local grounds in a wonderful condition for our client through grass cutting; using a ride on and pedestrian mower, strimming, pruning, weeding, shrub and border maintenance, litter picking and any other related horticultural duties.
