Job summary

idverde is hiring Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operatives in Burton upon Trent to service cemeteries under a Derby contract. You’ll perform grass cutting, strimming, pruning and general horticultural tasks using ride-on and pedestrian mowers, maintaining local grounds to high standards.

The role offers a fixed-term contract until end of October, with Mon-Fri 7:00-16:30, and opportunities for training and career development within a large green services company.

Qualifications

• Previous grounds maintenance experience is required.
• A full valid UK driving licence is essential.
• Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather.
• Reliable with a can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
• PA1/PA6 licences are an advantage but not essential.

About the role

We currently require multiple Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our team in Burton working on our cemeteries contract in Derby. You will keep several local grounds in a wonderful condition for our clients through grass cutting; using a ride on and pedestrian mower, strimming, pruning, weeding, shrub and border maintenance, litter picking and any other related horticultural duties.

Requirements

• Previous Grounds Maintenance working experience.
