Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting multiple Grounds Maintenance Operatives for our client in Horsham, offering full-time roles Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. Salary is £12.71 to £14.50 per hour with training provided.

You will cut grass, prune, hedge, and maintain sites across local authorities. A full UK driving licence is preferred and you should be comfortable outdoors in all weather. No experience required for the base rate.

Qualifications

• Ideally has strimming experience and enjoys outdoor work.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Possess a full UK driving licence to access sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass cutting using strimmers, pedestrian and ride-on mowers.
• Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of sites.
• Operate, maintain and care for vehicles and equipment.
• Follow health and safety regulations and company policies.

Salary: GBP12.71 - GBP14.5 per hour

The Best Connection are proud to be recruiting multiple Grounds Maintenance Operatives for our well-established client, who provide landscape maintenance and soft landscaping services to local authorities across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, and Kent, serving commercial, public, and private sectors.

Location: Horsham

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

Pay:

• £12.71 per hour (no experience required)
• Up to £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out grass cutting using strimmers, pedestrian mowers, and ride-on mowers with trailers (full training provided)
• Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of all sites
• Operate, maintain, and care for vehicles and equipment
• Perform hedge cutting, shrub and border maintenance, pruning, and leaf clearance
• Undertake landscaping and environmental improvement works, including turfing, seeding, and planting
• Work safely at all times, following health and safety regulations and company policies

Requirements:

• Ideally have strimming experience previously
• Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Full UK driving licence to get to site
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Comfortable with manual, physical work
