Job summary

HL Services (London) Ltd is seeking a Landscape Operative / Grounds Maintenance Operative in the Basingstoke area. This full-time role involves a mix of soft and hard landscaping tasks on residential and commercial sites.

You will work as part of a team delivering high-quality external works, with a focus on outdoor duties, site safety, and reliability. A valid UK driving licence is preferred and right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Previous landscaping or construction experience preferred but not essential.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable, punctual and a good team player.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general landscaping and grounds maintenance duties across multiple sites.
• Assist with hard landscaping works including paving, edging and fencing.
• Undertake soft landscaping tasks such as planting, turfing and soil preparation.
• Load and unload materials and equipment safely.
• Operate hand tools and small plant equipment where required.
• Ensure sites are kept clean, tidy and safe at all times.
• Work collaboratively with other team members and follow site instructions.
• Adhere to all health & safety procedures and company guidelines.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (subject to probation)

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscape Operative / Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team working across sites in and around Basingstoke.

This is a hands-on outdoor role involving a mix of soft and hard landscaping duties. You will work as part of a team delivering high-quality external works on residential and commercial sites.
