Job summary

Net Zero Careers Accelerator is seeking a Garden Maintenance Operative to join a small, collaborative team focused on creating healthy landscapes. You will perform mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and help with hard landscaping, delivering high-quality service to clients.

No formal qualifications are required, but a full UK driving licence is preferred. Starting at national minimum wage, there is overtime, weekend work, and opportunities to grow your gardening skills.

Qualifications

• Prior gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence required (ideally 25+ for insurance).
• Physical fitness to handle long hours and physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform general gardening tasks, including mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, and planting.
• Assist with hard landscaping tasks as required.
• Collaborate with team to complete maintenance schedules and respond to client needs.
• Maintain high standards and deliver a quality service.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Overtime and weekend work available (paid at 1.5x hourly rate).
• Monthly PAYE payments.

As a Garden Maintenance Operative, you'll work in a small, collaborative team performing a variety of gardening and landscaping tasks that contribute to creating healthy, well-maintained landscapes. We seek someone motivated, reliable, and ready to grow their skills in a rewarding, hands-on role.,

• Perform general gardening tasks, including mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, and planting
• Assist with hard landscaping tasks as required
• Collaborate with team members to complete maintenance schedules and respond to client needs
• Maintain high standards and deliver a quality service
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients
  Prior experience in gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance is preferred but not essential.
• Strong motivation, enthusiasm, and a "can do" attitude
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Physically fit to handle long hours and physical tasks
• Full UK manual driving licence (ideally 25+ for insurance purpose), This role is ideal for candidates with some experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, or landscaping. While formal qualifications are not essential, a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are.
