Job summary

Alfie Bines Gardens in North London is seeking a full-time Garden Operative to join the on-site team. You will carry out day-to-day gardening tasks, pruning, mowing, weeding, and general maintenance to keep outdoor spaces healthy and well-presented.

You will read garden designs, work outdoors in all weathers, follow health and safety procedures, collaborate with colleagues, and ensure projects meet company standards. Driving licence preferred but not essential.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Garden Operative role based in the North London Area. The Garden Operative will carry out day-to-day tasks such as, pruning, mowing, weeding, and general garden maintenance to keep outdoor spaces healthy and well-presented. Responsibilities include maintaining borders and lawns, hedge trimming and using appropriate tools and machinery safely. The role involves working outdoors in all seasons, adhering to health and safety procedures, and providing a professional, courteous service to clients. The Garden Operative will collaborate with other team members, follow instructions from supervisors, and help ensure projects are completed on time and to company standards.

Qualifications

• Practical gardening skills, including planting, pruning, lawn care, and general garden maintenance.
• Ability to read and follow garden designs and plans, with a good eye for detail and presentation.
• Experience using garden tools and machinery safely, with awareness of health and safety practices.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
