Job summary

Mitie Landscapes is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to support the UKs market-leading FM company in Birmingham. The role is a permanent, full-time position at 40 hours per week, with a hourly rate of £13.10.

You will maintain canal networks, cut grass and hedges, and report hazards, while working with Canal & River Trust to keep waterways healthy and accessible. Applicants should have grounds maintenance experience and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance and outdoor work.
• Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
• Comfortable using smartphones and reporting information.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the Canal network including grass cutting and hedge cutting.
• Providing management with information and reporting as required, including site hazards.
• Operating vehicles, machinery and equipment following Health & Safety procedures.
• Undertaking training as required.

Mitie Landscapes has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team at the UKs market leading FM company. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be supporting them in ensuring your team deliver the exceptional every day.

You will be working in partnership with Canal & River Trust is the UK's largest canal charity, who care for a 2,000-mile network of stunning canals and navigable rivers.

You will be responsible for.

• Maintaining the Canal network including grass cutting & hedge cutting,
• Providing management with relevant information and reporting as required, including reporting any site hazards.
• Operating all vehicles, machinery and equipment in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Undertaking training as and when required.
