Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative at Toyota, Burnaston. The role focuses on delivering high standards of outdoor space maintenance, meeting SLA expectations and keeping grounds safe and well-kept.

The position is permanent, full-time (45 hours/week) with a pay rate of £14.00 per hour. A full UK driving license is preferred for company-vehicle duties. Applicants with PAi/PA6 spraying licenses are a plus.

Qualifications

• Passion for outdoor work in agile and flexible environments.
• Good understanding of smartphone technology.
• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
• Full UK driving license preferred for roles involving company vehicles.
• PAI & PA6 spraying license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking.
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively.
• Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation.
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management.
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required.
