Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking multiple Grounds Maintenance Operatives in Barrow-in-Furness to support the Westmorland and Furness contract. You will maintain local grounds through grass cutting with ride-on/pedestrian mowers, strimming, pruning, weeding, and shrub/border upkeep.

This temporary 6-week role offers weekly pay; a can-do attitude and safety awareness are essential, with a full UK driving licence required and PA1/PA6 desirable for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance is beneficial or willingness to work outdoors.
• Can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• PA1 and PA6 licenses are desirable.
• Full UK manual driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Strimming, pruning, weeding, shrub and border maintenance.

Salary: GBP12.71 - GBP12.71 per hour

• Hourly Rate: £12.71
• Contract type:Temporary, 6 weeks
• Working hours: Monday - Thursday 07:30-16:30, Friday 07:30-12:30 39 Hours per week, with some overtime potential

About the role

We currently require multiple Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our teams in Barrow to work on our Westmorland and Furness contract. You will keep several local grounds in a wonderful condition for our client through grass cutting; using a ride on and pedestrian mower, strimming, pruning, weeding, shrub and border maintenance, litter picking and any other related horticultural duties.

Requirements

• Previous Grounds Maintenance experience beneficial or experience & willing to work outdoors
• Can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• PA1 and PA6 licenses are desirable.
• A full valid UK manual driving licenceis required.
