Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is seeking multiple Grounds Maintenance Operatives for Barrow, on a Westmorland and Furness contract. You will handle grass cutting with ride-on and pedestrian mowers, plus strimming, pruning, weeding and shrub maintenance.

This temporary 6-week role offers a Monday-Thursday 07:30-16:30 and Friday 07:30-12:30 schedule, with some overtime potential. £12.71 per hour, 39 hours per week, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Previous grounds maintenance experience beneficial or willingness to work outdoors.
• Can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• PA1 and PA6 licenses are desirable.
• A full valid UK manual driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain local grounds including grass cutting using ride-on and pedestrian mowers.
• Perform strimming, pruning, weeding and shrub/border maintenance.
• Litter picking and other related horticultural duties as required.
• Support team in delivering high standards for the contract.

About the role

We currently require multiple Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our teams in Barrow to work on our Westmorland and Furness contract. You will keep several local grounds in a wonderful condition for our client through grass cutting; using a ride on and pedestrian mower, strimming, pruning, weeding, shrub and border maintenance, litter picking and any other related horticultural duties.

Requirements
