Job summary

St Columba's Hospice Care in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Groundskeeper to join our Facilities team. You will maintain the Hospice grounds, mowing lawns, planting and weeding borders, trimming trees and bushes, and helping with general building maintenance.

You’ll need a recognised horticulture, garden maintenance or landscaping qualification, and some gardening experience. A full, valid driving licence is also required. The role offers generous leave and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Recognised horticulture, garden maintenance or landscaping qualification.
• Some experience of gardening or horticulture work.
• Full and valid driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Mow lawns, plant and weed borders, trim trees and bushes.
• Landscape, sweep paths and car parks, and clear snow in winter.
• Contribute to maintenance of hospice buildings as part of the facilities team.
• Create new garden areas for patients and visitors when needed.
