Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Glasgow is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the team. You will be responsible for a range of grounds tasks across schemes, with a company van and tools supplied to perform duties efficiently.

The role includes mowing, hedges, weed control, litter picking and pesticide applications. Applicants should have prior grounds maintenance experience and hold a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or similar role requiring gardening machinery.
• Enthusiastic, well organised team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Some experience interpreting written instruction and maintaining simple written records.

Responsibilities

• Undertake grounds maintenance duties: weeding, trimming hedges/bushes, lawn mowing, litter picking and applying pesticide treatments.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and operated safely.
• Provide accurate and timely progress information and complete daily work records.
• Comply with health and safety requirements per guidelines and assessments.
