Job summary

Ayr Racecourse is seeking a motivated Ground Team member to join Scotland’s premier racecourse. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) is outdoors and focused on preparing the course and surrounding areas for racedays and events.

Responsibilities include turf and ground maintenance, mowing, weed control, hedge cutting, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces. You will work independently and as part of a team, upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in turf management is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Good knowledge of health and safety at work.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Turf and ground maintenance.
• Preparation of the course and surrounding areas for racedays and events.
• Mowing, weed control, hedge cutting and trimming.
• General upkeep of outdoor areas.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
