Helsing GmbH in the UK is seeking engineers for Ground-Side systems, focusing on de-risking flight-critical hardware and software. You will run rigorous bench tests on ground controls, validate launch mechanisms, and maintain an Iron Bird for system-wide simulations.

Ideal candidates hold a engineering degree and have hands-on experience with vibration, EMI, and diagnostic tooling for aerospace ground systems.

Qualifications

• Deep technical understanding of Ground Control Stations and ruggedized hardware.
• Ability to sniff and analyse ground-air protocols to de-risk latency and packet loss.
• Experience building and maintaining HIL/SIL bench environments.
• Vibration, thermal and EMI torture tests on supporting hardware.
• Root-cause analysis using oscilloscopes and protocol analysers.

Responsabilités

• Pre-Flight De-risking: run high-repetition tests on firmware and hardware configurations.
• Launch System Validation: perform tests for safe exit velocities and structural integrity.
• The Iron Bird: maintain a ground-based IRB to test system responses to failures.
• Regression Library: compile edge and failure cases for flight clearance.
• Documentation of Proof: create de-risking reports and manage testing cards in JIRA.
