Job summary

GE Aerospace in the United Kingdom seeks a Test Systems Technical Lead to steer the technical direction of test systems across power distribution and controls programs. You will own the solution from requirements capture through design, verification, release, and in-service support, guiding engineers and engaging with management and customers.

You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with DO-160 and EMC standards, and drive cost-out while delivering on scope and schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Software Engineering, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Significant experience in test system design, development, and integration for high-integrity environments.
• Experience in qualification and EMC test equipment design with DO-160/MIL-STD-461 awareness.
• Proven technical leadership delivering solutions within scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Strong problem solving and ability to drive to resolution.
• Excellent communication to engineers, management, customers and leadership.
• Evidence of independent technical judgement and seeking guidance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and lifecycle of test systems from requirements to in-service support.
• Lead architecture and technical reviews, collaborating with SMEs and the DTA.
• Ensure test solutions meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-461).
• Support CAM and EPM with scope, schedule, and budget for programs.
• Coach and mentor engineers, promoting Lean and cost-out in test solutions.
• Interface with multiple stakeholders to align test strategy with production readiness.
