Job summary

Jacobs invites penultimate-year students to join its Summer Internship Programme for approximately eight weeks in the summer. Based in one of Jacobs’ hub office locations across the UK or Ireland, you will collaborate with world-class professionals on real business challenges.

You will receive mentor guidance from leaders and Programme Champions, gaining practical experience and networking opportunities to advance your early career in ground engineering and related fields.

Qualifications

• On track to complete a degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Geology in 2028.
• Flexible and innovative self-starter.
• Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply skills to real-world problems.
• Empathy and listening skills to understand client requirements.
• Interesting stories/experiences from prior roles or activities.

Responsibilities

• Support and advise the project team on ground engineering tasks.
• Assist senior geotechnical engineers and geologists in project delivery.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Jacobs to learn and contribute.
