Job summary

Jacobs invites you to join its Summer Internship Programme, a hands-on eight-week experience designed for students in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geology disciplines. You will work within a team of geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists, applying classroom skills to real-world challenges and gaining practical, professional experience.

You will receive mentoring from leaders and peers, networking with interns across disciplines, and exposure to impactful projects globally.

Qualifications

• On track to complete a degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Geology in 2028.
• A flexible and innovative self-starter who's passionate about developing new skills.
• Enthusiasm to apply your skills to solve real-world problems.
• Empathy and listening skills to understand client needs.
• A well-rounded individual—share interesting stories and experiences.
• Available to join the 8-week programme starting 28th June 2027 - 20th August 2027.
• Must have full right to work in the UK.
• Penultimate year student, finishing degree in 2028.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a diverse team of geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists.
• Provide support and guidance to the wider Jacobs business and clients.
• Collaborate with mentors and programme champions to maximise learning.
