Jacobs invites you to join a Summer Internship Programme that runs for approximately eight weeks in the summer, with placement locations across the UK or Ireland. You’ll work alongside world-class geotechnical engineers, applying classroom skills to real business challenges, while receiving mentorship and career guidance.

Qualifications

• On track to complete a degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Geology in 2028.
• A flexible and innovative self-starter who’s passionate about developing new skills.
• Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply your skills to solve real-world problems.
• Empathy and listening skills to help you truly understand your clients’ requirements.
• A well-rounded individual with diverse experiences. Tell us your story!
• You must be available to join the 8-week programme starting 28th June 2027 – 20th August 2027
• You must have the full right to work in the UK
• You need to be a penultimate year student, finishing your degree in 2028

Responsibilities

• Support a diverse geotechnical engineering team with project activities.
• Provide assistance to Jacobs business and clients under supervision.
• Collaborate with mentors and stakeholders to apply classroom learning to real challenges.
