Job summary

Jacobs invites you to join its Summer Internship Programme for eight weeks in 2027. You’ll work at a hub office in the UK or Ireland, applying university learning to real transport and structural projects and collaborating with experienced professionals.

You’ll receive mentoring, gain hands‑on experience in structural analysis, feasibility studies, tender designs, and contract documentation, and build your professional network through cross‑disciplinary exposure.

Qualifications

• On track to complete a degree in MEng Civil Engineering; MEng Civil & Structural Engineering; MEng Civil & Environmental Engineering in 2028.
• Flexible and innovative self-starter.
• Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply your skills to real-world problems.
• Empathy and listening skills to understand client requirements.
• Interesting stories and experiences from activities outside academics.
• Available to join the 8-week programme starting 28th June 2027 – 20th August 2027.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Penultimate year student, finishing in 2028.

Responsibilities

• Support project delivery on bridge and structural projects.
• Apply new technologies and lean, digital processes to increase efficiency.
• Contribute to structural analysis, feasibility studies, tender designs, detailed designs, and contract documents.
