Job summary

Stowe School is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Groom to join our Equestrian Centre team on a Sunday on a zero hours contract basis. Working with an established Equestrian Team, you will play a key role in the daily care of our horses and the smooth running of the Centre.

You’ll have a passion for horse welfare, be hardworking, reliable and happy to work outdoors in all weathers. You’ll enjoy working as part of a small, supportive team and take pride in maintaining high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Experience with horse care and stable duties.
• Willingness to work Sundays and in varying weather.
• Ability to work as part of a small team.

Responsibilities

• Care for horses daily and assist in Centre operations.
• Support the Equestrian Team in daily tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards around stables and arenas.

Days of work: Sunday but we may require cover in times of staff holiday periods so a flexible approach is appreciated.

Stowe School

Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding School with approximately 900 pupils. There are around 500 full and part-time staff with 60 staff and their families living on site. The Stowe Group of schools (Stowe, Ashfold, Swanbourne House and Winchester House) are situated on four separate sites in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire and educate children from 3-18 years.
