Job summary

Stowe School is seeking an experienced Gardener to join our team. The role covers all aspects of amenity horticulture, including maintenance of gardens and beds, shrubbery management, and general grounds care.

The site spans approximately 880 acres of historic landscape, with world-famous gardens and extensive grounds to maintain. You should hold a full driving license and be able to work well in a team as well as use your own initiative and be a self-starter.

Qualifications

• Full driving license is required.
• Experience in amenity horticulture preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.

Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe’s world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding School with approximately 900 pupils. There are around 500 full and part-time staff with 60 staff and their families living on site. The Stowe Group of schools (Stowe, Ashfold, Swanbourne House and Winchester House) are situated on four separate sites in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire and educate children from 3-18 years.
