Job summary

Stowe School Limited is seeking an experienced Gardener to join our grounds team. The role covers all aspects of amenity horticulture on the Stowe estate, including maintenance of gardens and general plant care.

You will hold a full driving license, work well in a team, and take the initiative as a self-starter to help maintain the school's 880-acre landscape and 200-acre estate.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Gardener to join our team at Stowe School. This role is varied and encompasses all aspects of amenity horticulture. The main duties include maintenance of gardens, a general knowledge of shrubbery, bedding plants and cylinder mowing would be an advantage.

You will hold a full driving license and work well as part of a team but also have the ability to use your own initiative and be a self starter

Stowe School occupies Stowe House and approximately 200 acres of the Stowe estate and is located in Stowe's world-famous landscape gardens set in 880 acres. Stowe School is an independent co-educational boarding School with approximately 900 pupils. There are around 500 full and part-time staff with 60 staff and their families living on site. The Stowe Group of schools (Stowe, Ashfold, Swanbourne House and Winchester House) are situated on four separate sites in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire and educate children from 3-18 years.
