Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Home Delivery Driver in Bedford to deliver groceries door-to-door in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for on-time delivery, vehicle checks, and assisting customers with questions and substitutions.

When not out delivering, you will support store teams as needed, learn about products and promotions, and maintain high standards of safety and customer care.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• Right to Work eligibility in the UK
• Completes online driving risk assessment as part of interview and may have a driving assessment on joining

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers' doorsteps, on-time and in good condition
• Perform checks to keep the van clean, roadworthy and delivery cases secure before driving
• Assist customers with questions and substitutions and keep them informed of any delays
• Build knowledge about products, services and promotions to provide recommendations
• When not delivering, assist across the store as needed
