Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Home Delivery Driver in the United Kingdom to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps in a timely manner and in excellent condition. You will ensure van safety, assist customers with substitutions, and grow product knowledge while supporting the store team during quieter periods.

The role requires flexible, proactive team involvement in a fast-paced store environment, with opportunities to learn digital tools and contribute to a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Full UK/EU driving licence held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points is required.
• Great customer service skills and a proactive approach to problem solving are essential.
• Ability to learn new digital tools used in the delivery and store environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Carry out checks to keep the van clean, organised, roadworthy and secure.
• Assist customers with questions, substitutions and delays, and build product knowledge.
• Support store colleagues and adapt to a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Move shopping containers up to 15kg and use new tools as trained.
