Job summary

Job Title: Grinder

Location: Ferndown, Dorset

Salary: £18.00 – £21.00 per hour (DOE)

Hours: Monday to Thursday, Day Shift (39 hours/week) 7am to 5.15pm

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Grinder to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a hands on role working with high-spec machinery and tight tolerances, ideal for someone who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate grinding machines to produce precision components.
• Manual machines such as Jones and Shipman and Myfords, also Studer experience would be advantageous.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required tolerances.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with the wider production team to meet deadlines and quality standards.
