Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting an experienced Centreless Grinder Setter/Operator for a leading precision engineering manufacturer in Havant, Hampshire. You will set up and operate centreless grinding machines, read engineering drawings and perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary and a 37.5-hour week with rotating double day shifts, overtime opportunities and a modern machining environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with centreless grinding and setting machinery.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Familiarity with micrometers, verniers and gauges for in-process inspection.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate centreless grinding machines.

Centreless Grinder Setter/Operator

• Havant, Hampshire
• £18.50 per hour (£36,075 per annum)
• 37.5 hours per week
• Rotating Double Day Shift

Shift Pattern

• Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
• Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00

A leading precision engineering manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Centreless Grinder Setter/Operator to join its growing production team in Havant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected manufacturer producing precision-engineered components to exacting standards. You'll play a key role within the machining department, setting and operating centreless grinding machinery while ensuring parts meet stringent quality and tolerance requirements. Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Centreless Grinder Setter/Operator.
• Experience with plunge and/or through-feed grinding processes.
• The ability to work to tight tolerances and demanding quality standards.
• Experience using micrometers, verniers, gauges and other inspection equipment.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• A strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• A proactive and reliable approach to work.
• Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this position, and applicants requiring visa sponsorship cannot be considered.
