Job summary

CATL is seeking a Development Associate to lead energy storage project development across the UK and EU, driving opportunities from early development through to ready-to-build. You will collaborate with engineering, finance and regulatory teams to optimize grid connections, permits and commercial models.

You will manage land acquisition, stakeholder engagement and external consultants, travel within the UK/EU as needed, and help shape a high-growth pipeline of utility-scale storage projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in energy/power sectors, covering development, technical, M&A and engineering management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor UK & EU electricity markets, pricing and grid services.
• Identify and evaluate energy storage opportunities (greenfield/brownfield/land-acquisition).
• Manage development workflows: site selection, grid access, permits, M&A, budgeting, scheduling.
