Job summary

Greswold Primary School in Solihull is seeking a caring and dedicated Child Specific Learning Support Assistant to join our KS2 SEND team. The role supports pupils' learning, wellbeing and personal development within an inclusive school community.

The successful candidate will work with class teachers and other professionals, taking an active role in creating a supportive learning environment and building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English or equivalent.
• Experience with children and additional needs is advantageous.

The successful candidate will work as part of our inclusion team alongside class teachers and other professionals to support pupils' learning and development. We are looking for someone who:

Candidates will have an NVQ Level 3 in supporting Teaching and Learning or the equivalent, while a good level of numeracy and literacy is essential (GCSE Grade C /4 and above or equivalent). Previous experience of working with children, particularly those with additional needs, would be advantageous. Enthusiasm, commitment and the ability to form positive relationships are equally important. The role will be a temporary child specific role for 30 hours 50 minutes per week, Monday to Friday, exclusive of INSET days, from 08:30 to 15.10 with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break. The position will be paid on Band C point 8 - 14 currently £26,824 – £29,540 (pay award pending) pro rata dependant on qualifications and experience.
