Job summary

Greswold Primary School is seeking a caring and dedicated Child Specific Learning Support Assistant to join our KS2 SEND team in Solihull. The role focuses on supporting learning, wellbeing and personal development within our inclusive community.

The position is temporary, 30 hours 50 minutes per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:10 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Band C points 8–14 (£26,824–£29,540, pay award pending) pro rata depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning is required.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above.
• Experience with children, especially with additional needs, is advantageous.

Candidates will have an NVQ Level 3 in supporting Teaching and Learning or the equivalent, while a good level of numeracy and literacy is essential (GCSE Grade C /4 and above or equivalent). Previous experience of working with children, particularly those with additional needs, would be advantageous. Enthusiasm, commitment and the ability to form positive relationships are equally important. The role will be a temporary child specific role for 30 hours 50 minutes per week, Monday to Friday, exclusive of INSET days, from 08:30 to 15.10 with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break. The position will be paid on Band C point 8 - 14 currently £26,824 – £29,540 (pay award pending) pro rata dependant on qualifications and experience.
