Job summary

The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, NP18 1HQ is seeking a Greenkeeper to join the Estates team. You will maintain playing surfaces across championship golf courses to the highest standards and support the golf operations with safe, efficient grounds maintenance.

The ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Greenkeeping, has relevant experience, and can work independently or in a team. A positive, proactive approach and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Greenkeeping (or equivalent)
• Previous greenkeeping or golf course maintenance experience
• A self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Maintain greens, tees, bunkers, approaches and rough areas to exceptional standards
• Operate and maintain specialist grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively
• Assist in the delivery of golf course maintenance and development programmes
• Support the operational needs of the golf team and Estates Department
• Ensure all equipment, stock and working areas are maintained, clean and compliant with safety standards
• Attend team briefings, contribute to departmental objectives and report any faults, hazards or customer concerns promptly

Workingacrossour championship golf courses, you will help ensure that all playingsurfaces and surrounding areas are maintained to the highest possiblestandard. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and motivatedGreenkeeper to develop their skills within a world-class golf destination.

OUR IDEALHERO WILL HAVE -
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Greenkeeping (or equivalent)
Previous greenkeeping or golf course maintenance experience
A self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Spraying and chainsaw certificates are desirable but not essential
A commitment to high standards of course presentation and safety
Must be aged 18 or over due to the operation of machinery and exposure to chemicals
