Job summary

ReQuire Consultancy Ltd is recruiting a Compliance Manager for a leading UK electrical retail client in Hampshire. The role involves creating a compliance framework from scratch and leading regulatory activities, with potential travel to the Far East and Europe.

You will own the technical files, coordinate testing and lab accreditation, ensure UKCA/CE, RoHS compliance, and work with Buying, Product Development and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Compliance of electrical or electronic products including LVD, EMC, UKCA/CE and RoHS.
• Own technical files and manage test labs.
• Experience with overseas factories, ideally Asia.
• Greenfield process builder with ability to set up new compliance framework.

Responsibilities

• Review current arrangements for gaps and risks.
• Design end-to-end product approval framework from spec to sign-off.
• Set up testing, certification and regulatory processes and labs.
• Ensure technical files, Declarations of Conformity and certs are complete.
• Review manuals, packaging, labeling and safety info for UK rules.
• Visit Far East factories to audit, review products and sign off samples.
• Set up pre-shipment inspection, change control and ongoing QC.
• Create reporting and escalation routes for technical/compliance risks.
• Recommend how the function should be structured and resourced.
