Job summary

Blackburn College invites applications for a Green Skills and Construction Development Lead. You will work with Curriculum, Commercial and Business Development to shape the College’s offer in Construction, Green Skills, Renewable Technology and Sustainability.

The role involves co-creating curriculum and resources to meet employer needs across full-time provision, T Levels, Apprenticeships and Commercial provision, together with employer engagement and improving employability through Realistic

Qualifications

Recognised Level 3 qualification in Construction.
Level 2 qualification in English and maths.
PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification; TAQA (A1, D32, D33) or willingness to work towards.
Extensive sector experience with knowledge of local and regional employers in Construction, Green Skills, Renewable Technology and Sustainability.

Responsibilities

Develop and co-create curriculum for Construction, including Green Skills, Renewable Technology and Sustainability.
Develop resources to meet employer need for Full-time provision, T Levels, Apprenticeships and Commercial provision.
Support employer engagement and reputation building for FE and HE.
Foster employability skills and realistic work environments for students.
Collaborate with Curriculum, Commercial and Business Development teams and Head of School.
