Job summary

Leeds GATE in Bradford is seeking a community development worker to build trusted relationships with Gypsy and Traveller communities. You will deliver outreach including activities, information, and support, and plan community groups to improve health, wellbeing, and access to opportunities.

You will collaborate with staff, members and partners, identifying issues and helping communities organize to address barriers to inclusion, housing, health and education.

Qualifications

• Outreach and community engagement with local Gypsy and Traveller communities.
• Plan and run community groups to promote health, wellbeing and inclusion.
• Support families in pursuing goals and organizing around collective issues.
