Job summary

The University of Sheffield AMRC Finance team is seeking a proactive Finance Assistant to support project financial management, grant submissions, and providing timely financial guidance to diverse stakeholders.

You will work with colleagues across the Finance team to ensure compliance, accuracy and robust financial controls while supporting the development of complex grant applications and budgets.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English.
• Able to analyse and communicate financial information.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Support financial management of research grants, commercial projects and core budgets.
• Provide financial analysis and reviews of externally funded projects within budgets and sponsor regulations.
• Monitor project performance and identify financial risks and funding shortfalls; propose solutions.
