Job summary

The University of Bradford is seeking a motivated, detail-orientated Research Finance Officer to provide financial information and advice to grant holders. You will submit claims and invoices and ensure compliance with funder requirements.

Responsibilities include day-to-day financial management of a large portfolio of research grants and contracts, preparing claims, interrogating ledger data, and producing reports for stakeholders in a professional and confidential manner.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification (e.g. GCSE) including Maths and English or substantial relevant practical experience.
• Knowledge of funder terms and conditions is desirable.
• Ability to use Windows software: Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day financial management of a large portfolio of research grants and contracts.
• Prepare financial claims to meet grant deadlines and gather supporting evidence.
• Analyse nominal ledger data, investigate anomalies, and produce reports for grant holders.
