Job summary

LGBT Foundation is seeking an experienced Grants & Contracts Manager to lead funding applications and tenders, build strong funder relationships, and ensure effective grant and contract administration and compliance.

You will have proven experience of writing and submitting successful funding applications to trusts, foundations and statutory funders, with strong financial literacy and organisational skills. Line‑management experience is preferred and tender processes are an advantage.

LGBT Foundation is a vibrant national charity dedicated to improving the health, wellbeing and equality of LGBTQ+ people. Through our established services and developing initiatives, we provide vital support to LGBTQ+ communities while working towards a more equal and just society.

We are looking for an experienced Grants & Contracts Manager to help secure sustainable funding for our work. The role will lead the development of compelling funding applications and tenders, build strong relationships with funders and partners, and oversee effective grant and contract administration and compliance. You will have experience of writing and submitting successful funding applications to trusts, foundations and statutory funders, together with excellent persuasive writing, financial literacy and organisational skills. You will ideally have line-management experience, an understanding of the issues affecting LGBTQ+ communities and a strong commitment to equality of opportunity. Experience of tender processes would be an advantage.

Key Role Accountabilities include:

• Researching, writing and submitting major funding applications to statutory sources and Trusts and Foundations, at either a local, regional or national level.
• Leading on contract compliance across all grants and contracts, including leading project initiation processes for new funding, funder stewardship, overseeing management of online systems (e.g. Salesforce, online fundraising platforms), and ownership of relevant fundraising targets.
