Job summary

Arup is seeking graduates for its tunnelling team in the UK. You will engage in feasibility studies, concept design, and detailed design support for tunnelling projects such as High Speed 2 and major water infrastructure.

You’ll join a multidisciplinary environment delivering complex underground solutions. Graduate opportunities focus on geotechnical analysis, numerical modelling, and collaboration across geotechnical, structural, rail, and digital engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; eligibility to work in the UK
• Strong foundation in geotechnical engineering and tunnelling
• Demonstrated technical and analytical capabilities

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analysis and numerical modelling for tunnelling designs
• Support design and delivery of tunnels, shafts and underground structures
• Prepare technical reports, drawings and presentations for clients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across geotechnical, structural, rail and water disciplines
• Participate in site visits and construction support activities
