COWI is seeking a Senior Engineer to expand its Tunnels and underground structures discipline in the UK. You will work on prestigious infrastructure projects, focusing on tunnel design and related civil structures, with responsibilities spanning feasibility, design, client liaison and project management.

The role requires chartered status and extensive experience in tunnels and underground design, plus leadership of project teams and familiarity with UK standards.

Competenze

• Chartered in ICE or IStructE.
• Extensive experience designing tunnels, heavy civil and underground structures.
• Proven track record in bored tunnels, mined excavations, stations and temporary works.
• Knowledge of soil-structure interaction and structural/ geotechnical analysis tools.
• Experience leading project teams and coordinating clients.

Mansioni

• Conducting feasibility and options reports
• Completing designs for a range of civil engineering structures, including below ground structures and foundations
• Preparation of work for CAD Technicians
• Site surveys and appraisals of rail, water and/or utilities infrastructure schemes
• Checking of drawings and supervision of Graduate Engineers
• Liaising with clients, attending meetings on-site, progress meetings and design review meetings
• Project management, including cost/commercial aspects of project
• Assisting in the production of pre-qualification documents, tenders and fee proposals as required
