Willmott Dixon invites graduates to join a targeted Graduate Trainee Programme in Building Services Management based in Cardiff. You will develop mechanical and electrical strategies, work across preconstruction and delivery phases, and lead supply-chain activities to deliver quality outcomes on South Wales projects.

The programme spans 2–3 years with paid study and progression to management roles, while earning a competitive salary, a car allowance, and support for professional qualifications

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering by Sep 2027.
• Exposure to construction through work experience, placement or similar (desirable).
• Willingness to learn and progress through structured rotations across functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical and electrical strategy and delivery during preconstruction and delivery phases.
• Provide leadership to the supply chain to drive high-quality technical solutions within budgets and timescales.
• Support live project delivery and progression into Assistant Management roles after completion.

Graduate Trainee Programme - Building Services Manager

Launch your career in construction with our Graduate programme within the Wales & West region. Based from our office Cardiff, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience working on exciting construction projects across the South Wales region, helping to shape the communities of tomorrow.

Building Services Manager (Mechanical & Electrical): you will develop and assist with the mechanical and electrical strategy and delivery of services during preconstruction and delivery phases of the project. Providing leadership to the supply chain to drive high-quality technical solutions that meet budgets and timescales.

Our programme is 2 to 3 years in duration (depending upon your level of academic achievement) and will give you the chance to earn, learn and gain real experience alongside a part-time study for a relevant qualification that is paid for by Willmott Dixon.
