Job summary

Willmott Dixon's Graduate Trainee Programme - Site Manager is based from Exeter and offers hands-on experience on projects across Devon and Cornwall, helping to shape communities of tomorrow. The 2–3 year programme includes rotations across site management, design, preconstruction and more, with paid study, a buddy, and a clear path into management roles.

Starting September 2027, the programme provides competitive salary, travel benefits, and opportunities for progression into Assistant

Qualifications

• Degree qualification by September 2027.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Exposure to construction (work experience, placement or similar) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead site management and the safe, efficient delivery of construction projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate rotations across different functions including site management, quantity surveying, design and preconstruction.
• Support the delivery of live projects and take on real responsibilities with a buddy from day one.
• Contribute to flagship projects that shape communities and gain valuable hands-on experience.

Launch your career in construction with our Graduate programme within the Wales & West region. Based from our office Exeter, you'll gain valuable hands‑on experience working on exciting construction projects across Devon and Cornwall, helping to shape the communities of tomorrow.

Site Management: You play a vital role in turning plans into reality, leading the safe and efficient delivery of construction projects from start to finish.

Our programme is 2 to 3 years in duration (depending upon your level of academic achievement) and will give you the chance to earn, learn and gain real experience alongside a part‑time study for a relevant qualification that is paid for by Willmott Dixon.
