South Lanarkshire Council is seeking Trainee Procurement Officer(s) (Graduate) to join the Procurement Service in Hamilton. This hands-on role involves developing procurement knowledge, managing projects from day one with a mentor, and working toward a Level 4 CIPS Diploma.

You will be placed in either team, progress from Grade 2 Level 2 to Grade 2 Level 4 as skills grow, and interviews are scheduled for November 2026. Salary ranges from £31,242 to £38,779 per year.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in relevant field (supply chain, business, procurement or law).
• 2:1 degree or higher in a relevant subject.
• Strong communication and analytical skills are required.

Responsabilités

• Manage own procurement projects from day one with mentorship.
• Interact with colleagues across the Council to ensure compliant procurement processes.
• Progress through the Procurement Skills Matrix from Grade 2 Level 2 to Grade 2 Level 4 as you develop.
• Assist in delivering daily procurement activities within a fast-paced team.
