South Lanarkshire Council is seeking graduates for Trainee Procurement Officer roles within the Procurement Service. You will manage projects from day one with mentoring, while pursuing a Level 4 CIPS diploma to advance your professional development.

The role involves engaging with council teams, guiding compliant procurement processes, and developing the skills to handle increasingly complex contracts across public sector services.

Qualifications

• The successful candidates will have an honours degree and enthusiasm for developing a career in procurement.
• Candidates with a minimum 2:1 in supply chain, business, procurement or law are preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills are required.

Responsabilités

• Manage procurement projects with support from a mentor and line manager.
• Interact with colleagues across the Council to understand requirements and guide through procurement.
• Progress through the Procurement Skills Matrix toward Level 4.
