Job summary

AECOM is seeking talented graduates to join our Traffic Engineering teams across the UK and Ireland. As a Graduate Traffic Engineer, you’ll work with experienced engineers on a range of projects to create safer, more efficient and sustainable transport networks.

You’ll receive structured training on design and modelling software, participate in site visits, and grow into increasing responsibilities across the full project lifecycle in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• BEng or MEng in Civil/General Engineering with 2:1 or above.
• MA/MSc in Geography/Transport Planning advantageous.
• Master’s in Mathematics or quantitative discipline considered.
• Genuine interest in traffic engineering and sustainable transport.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support development of designs and technical solutions through project stages.
• Attend site visits, meetings and workshops with clients and design teams.
• Receive training in engineering, design and traffic modelling software.
• Develop understanding of digital engineering and BIM processes.
• Progress to increasing responsibility for project tasks and deliverables.
