Job summary

ABB Ltd in the UK is seeking a graduate/early-career engineer to support the preparation of technical and commercial bids for ABB Motion Service opportunities across the UK. You will collaborate with engineering, sales, project and service teams to gather information and deliver competitive tenders.

The role offers office-based work in Warrington and aims to develop both technical and commercial skills with hands-on mentoring and training.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional interested in engineering, tendering, sales support, or commercial engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret technical information and develop practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Support preparation of technical and commercial proposals for ABB Motion Service opportunities.
  • Review customer enquiries, specifications, and project requirements with experienced team members.
  • Assist in developing cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions balancing customer needs with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, project and service teams to gather bid information.
  • Ensure proposals are accurate, professionally presented, and submitted on time.
  • Participate in technical discussions and customer meetings where appropriate.
  • Maintain tender documentation and opportunity records for reporting and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop technical, commercial, and industry knowledge through training and hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously develop your technical, commercial, and industry knowledge through training, mentoring, and hands‑on experience.

Qualifications
