Job summary

ABB Ltd is seeking a technically minded engineer to support the Sales organisation and its customers in selecting the most suitable and cost-effective solutions. You will be a key technical resource in earthing and lightning, cable protection, wire and cable management, and connectivity, working hybrid from Coventry.

You will train, prepare technical descriptions, and help external sales teams with customer enquiries, ensuring high-quality technical support across ABB Electrification's UK

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering with a proven track record in providing technical solutions.
• Excellent command of English.
• UK driving licence valid.

Responsibilities

• Offer technical advice and comment on enquiry specifications for customers and sales teams.
• Provide technical support during meetings, product presentations and negotiations.
• Perform analytics to determine the most suitable technical solutions for customer needs.
• Deliver product and solution training and validate technical articles for publication.
• Share expertise in earthing, lightning, cable protection, and wire and cable management.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Sales organisation and its customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions for the applied products and technology. This role is contributing to the Installation Products Division in the UK Electrification Business Area, specifically around earthing and lightning, cable protection systems, wire and cable management and connectivity solutions. Main stakeholders you will engage with will be ABB Electrification's customers and supporting our local external sales teams. Work model: Hybrid from our Coventry office (min 2 days in the office)

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Offering technical advice and providing comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Engineers regarding ABB's products/systems/applications.
• Providing technical support during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations.
• Performing analytics and diagnostic studies to determine the most suitable technical solution to meet the customer needs; and proposing the most suitable technical solutions for complex enquiries.
• Delivering product and solution related training; and supporting the managers in preparing and validating the technical articles to publish. You are highly skilled in offering technical support with earthing and lightning, cable protection systems , wire and cable management and connectivity solutions.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of Electrical standards
• You are passionate about providing a first-class experience to the customer
• Degree or HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and have a demonstrated track record in providing technical solutions
• You are at ease communicating in English
