ABB Installation Products Division in the UK is seeking a Technical Support professional to assist Sales teams and customers in selecting technically appropriate, cost-effective solutions. You will prepare technical descriptions, support product demonstrations, and contribute to the knowledge base with high-quality articles.

The role focuses on earthing, lightning protection, cable management and connectivity.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of earthing and lightning, cable protection systems, wire and cable management.
• Enhanced knowledge of electrical standards and safe working practices.
• Ability to provide technically sound solutions and clear customer guidance.

Responsibilities

• Offer technical advice and comment on enquiry specifications for customers and Sales Engineers.
• Provide technical support during meetings, product presentations and negotiations.
• Perform analytics and diagnostics to determine the best technical solution for complex enquiries.
• Deliver product and solution training and assist in preparing technical articles for publication.

Job Summary

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Sales organisation and its customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost‑effective solutions. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions for the applied products and technology. This role is contributing to the Installation Products Division in the UK Electrification Business Area, specifically around earthing and lightning, cable protection systems, wire and cable management and connectivity solutions. Main stakeholders you will engage with will be ABB Electrification's customers and supporting our local external sales teams.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

• Work model: Hybrid from our Coventry office (min 2 days in the office)
• Offering technical advice and providing comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Engineers regarding ABB’s products/systems/applications.
• Providing technical support during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations.
• Performing analytics and diagnostic studies to determine the most suitable technical solution to meet the customer needs; and proposing the most suitable technical solutions for complex enquiries.
• Delivering product and solution related training; and supporting the managers in preparing and validating the technical articles to publish.

Qualifications for the Role

• You are highly skilled in offering technical support with earthing and lightning, cable protection systems , wire and cable management and connectivity solutions.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of Electrical standards.
• You are passionate about providing a first‑class experience to the customer.
• Degree or HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and have a demonstrated track record in providing technical solutions.
• You are at ease communicating in English.
• You hold a current driving licence valid in the UK.
