Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Graduate Sales Engineer in Reading to develop careers in technical sales, applications engineering, and technical marketing. You will receive extensive training on NI products and our sales process while supporting customers with complex engineering challenges.

After initial training, you will work with an Account Manager to deliver demos, training, and configurations, and you will travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor of Science in engineering (electrical/computer/mechanical/biomedical) and desire a long-term career in technical sales, applications engineering or marketing.
• Solid understanding of electronics, computers, and high-level programming languages (C, Python, LabVIEW, etc).
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to convey complex technical concepts to customers.

Responsibilities

• Spend initial six months in rapid learning, gaining expertise with NI tools and our sales process while supporting NI customers and their challenges.
• Partner with an Account Manager after six months to support customer requests, provide demos, training, and configuration.
• Balance inbound sales, marketing leads, customer presentations, and prospecting to generate demand and pipeline.
• Develop test and measurement expertise to prepare for future career in technical roles.
• Qualify demand and escalate opportunities to Account Managers to drive growth.
