Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a proactive Graduate Teaching Assistant for a secondary school in Harrow, working full-time from Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, with an ASAP start.

This role offers valuable classroom experience for graduates considering teaching, psychology, youth work, SEN, or other education-related fields.

You will support KS3 and KS4 students, provide one-to-one and small-group assistance, and help foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or working toward degree in education or related field.
• Experience with teenagers in education, youth work, coaching, tutoring, etc. preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students across KS3 and KS4 with learning and development.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
• Help students overcome barriers to learning.
• Build positive relationships with students.
• Work alongside teachers and support staff.
• Encourage confidence, independence and resilience.
• Support a positive and inclusive learning environment.
