Step Into Teaching is offering an exciting opportunity to work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in a welcoming Harrow secondary school. This role will allow you to gain valuable classroom experience and develop essential skills for a future in education.

You hold a degree (2:2 or above) with strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, or Science and will complete an enhanced DBS check. You will support pupils with diverse needs within a safe, inclusive environment and work closely with teachers

Qualifications

• Hold a degree (2:2 or above).
• Strong subject knowledge within English, Maths and Science (GCSE A*-C).
• DBS check on the update service (we will assist with this process).
• Be passionate about supporting children with their learning.
• Be able to keep students engaged and motivated.
• Be enthusiastic, friendly and approachable.
• Commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities.
• Prepared to work in a busy, changeable environment where everyone pitches in.
• Able to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting students with their learning development, individually and in groups.
• Providing support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable participation in activities.
• Work alongside classroom teachers to provide extra support during lessons.
• Maintain the highest expectation that every student will make sustained academic and personal progress.
